Januarius Gagliano 1778

His father, Alessandro, was one of the pioneers from the Gagliano family. Januarius is known as one of the most excellent makers from the Gagliano family as well as his brother, Nicolo. While his artwork in and after 1750 show obvious influence from Stradivarius, this piece of work of 1778 shows much of his own character. The dense and powerful tones add to its appeal.
